Our project develops tools and workflows that make climate information FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). From coastal water monitoring to urban risk assessment, our case studies demonstrate how open science can directly support climate change adaptation across Europe. In collaboration with CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC, we are helping to build the infrastructure that researchers, policymakers, and communities need.
This March, the FAIR2Adapt team comes together in Vienna.
From 23 to 25 March 2026, we are holding our second in-person General Assembly at Impact Hub Vienna. It is a moment to review progress, align on next steps, and showcase the tools and services our teams have been building.
Join us on 24 March in Vienna for a day of open science in action and discover how FAIR climate data can support real-world adaptation decisions.
This public day features live showcases of FAIR climate solutions – from a data pipeline for coastal water quality monitoring, to GIS workflows for urban climate risk in Hamburg, and AI-assisted tools for extracting knowledge from scientific literature. These showcases offer participants the opportunity to engage directly with the project teams.
In the afternoon, we are hosting the Thematic Working Group on Climate Services together with CLIMATE-ADAPT4EOSC and the EU Mission on Adaptation. This session runs from 13:30 to 16:30 CET and is open to the public. It will cover visualisation services, case study exchange, and FAIR Digital Object representations, and will close with a joint summary of outcomes and next steps.
You can join the Working Group with the link here.
Whether you are a researcher, a policymaker, or simply curious about the future of climate data, you are welcome to attend.
